Central Blood Bank Mobilizes South Hills Residents to Donate Blood
Organization to hold blood replenishment drive for area leukemia patient
(PITTSBURGH, PA) – Central Blood Bank is encouraging area residents to attend an upcoming drive to benefit Jacqui Buckley, a 27-year old Pittsburgh woman battling acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The drive will be an opportunity for the community to donate blood for Jacqui and other cancer patients’ treatments, as well as join the national bone marrow donor registry.
Jacqui is the daughter of Rich Konop, a designer at Legacy Remodeling in Dormont, where the drive will be held. She graduated from Chatham University with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and is employed at Western Psychiatric. Married in 2008 to Rich Buckley, Jacqui enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, shopping, and reading.
