Legacy CEO to Speak at National Conference for Troubled Remodeling Industry

Ken Moeslein to lend his expertise in the field of energy efficient products

PITTSBURGH, PA- January 15, 2009 - With the national outlook seeming grim, a bright spot locally is Ken Moeslein, C.E.O. of Legacy Remodeling, home of Swing Line Windows, Owens Corning Basement Finishing Systems, and Owens Corning Sunsuites. Mr. Moeslein has been invited to serve on a panel at the prestigious Hanley Wood’s Replacement Contractor Executive Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. this February.

The three-day conference is an opportunity for contractors across the country to gather and discuss pressing issues facing the home remodeling industry. Mr. Moeslein will be lending his expertise to a panel discussing the field of energy efficient products.

Under Moeslein’s lead, Legacy Remodeling has been a trailblazer in the field of energy efficiency since its inception in 1987. At a time when it was yet to be called “green”, Ken made a conscious decision to only provide the most energy efficient products available.

“Energy efficiency has always been of utmost importance to our company,” says Moeslein. “I look forward to the opportunity to share my experiences in this important area and help my colleagues realize that being “green” is a win-win situation for both the consumer and the environment.”

This is not Moeslein’s first experience on an industry panel; he was one of three remodelers to speak at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government for a program sponsored by The Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University. It was Ken’s privilege to speak to and field questions from a distinguished group of academics, manufacturers, government officials and publishers.

Having served on the Western Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau Board of Directors for the past 6 years, he has earned a reputation as both a fair and ethical businessman. In 2007 he was elected by his peers to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the BBB.
